Lots of things inspire me, and one of the recent things has been following your ride across the US. I did a shorter ride almost all the way from Adelaide to Melbourne in June (the just about complete story is told at http://www.everyvillagehasitsjack.wordpress.com), and that inspired me to do a lot more, hopefully starting next year. Another inspiring site was crazyguyonabike.com, which features loads of cycle touring journals. One quote that always inspires me: ‘Grab a chance and you’ll never be sorry for a might-have-been’ (from Arthur Ransome’s ‘We didn’t mean to go to sea’). If only we could always live that that!
